The Online Filing Manager is accredited by HMRC. Quality Standard validation is performed on EOY Returns generated by Opera II before submission via the Government Gateway.
What is online filing?
Online filing was introduced by the Government in 2002, as a means of sending Employers' Annual Returns (P14s and P35) electronically, eliminating the need for paper returns.
How it works
The OFM can run independently from Opera II and can be installed on a computer that does not have Opera II installed. The submission process can be run at a time that suits you, and does not need to be completed before running Week 1 of the new tax year. This leaves you with more time to check figures before committing your returns to HMRC.
What are the benefits of online filing?
Sending or receiving information online has a number of advantages:
- Secure and convenient
- Quick and easy
- Saves time and money
- Encourages a paperless office
- Reduces administration
- Reduces mistakes and misinterpretation
